Doing a little daydreaming, though this might be a fun thread. If everything goes according to plan this season, what would that look like for you?

Mine would go something like this:

September- Mature 6x6 or better Archery Bull elk in either NM, CO, or WA (depending on draw)
Mature 4x4 archery Mulie in CO or WA (never killed a Mulie)

October- Lots o Pheasants!

Nov/Dec- Any legal archery Mulie in WA
Any legal Elk in WA, or even better help a buddy get their first elk with a bow

Dec/Jan- First Ducks with my 1 yr old Lab!!

That's it!!! Game on!

As long as were dreaming for 2016 , September Archery buck here in TN. A good antelope in early October in Wyoming and a New Mexico Elk in October also. A good black powder buck in Early November here in TN. A Bison in late December in Wyoming. This would make me happy. Oh ! also finish the Turkey Season here in TN. taking this one Damm Bird that got me on his GPS he been staying just out of range of me the last two weeks.

Elk/deer- Wyoming & Idaho for sure; possibly montana as well if I move up there for work.
Antelope- Wyoming, possibly idaho on unlimited archery tag.
Bear- Wyoming & Idaho

If I can fill most those tags I would be plenty satisfied .either way, I'll be in the hills as much as I can

80" antelope in NV in August, followed by a nice 320+" 6 point bull in New Mexico with my bow in September. Followed by a 185+" muley in NV with my muzzleloader, rounded out by a fat cow elk with my muzzleloader during late September. Then head to sheep country and get a 160"+ in any species. Hell if we are really dreaming, then I pull one of the silver state tags for bull elk and kill the new state record!!!

Having my son draw a particular OR deer tag, then finding and killing of the 190+ bucks we saw there last year. He has the points, he just needs to verify the time off with his new job, then game on. Then we need to stack up 2-3 cows to fill three families freezers and I have decided I am ready to draw a desert sheep tag in NV this year.

I'm taking it easy this year. I'm out of points in Utah and Colorado so I'll have to settle for a Utah general season deer tag. I have a Lifetime License there. And perhaps a spike elk tag, I'll decide that later. Colorado muzzle loader deer and elk tags if I can beat the odds on the deer tag. 100 tags let out with around 110 applicants. I am usually in that 10 that don't draw.

For my grand trip of the year I'll head down to Arizona for a coues deer hunt on the border, I should have enough points for that tag. I have already bagged a real nice javelina in Arizona this last February.

Making sure my fiance shows up to our wedding in 4 days..
Watching her kill a decent gator in Florida on our honeymoon..
Passing the Land Surveying Exam I have scheduled in the morning...
Making sure I maintain my Job during this crappy oil/gas market...
Killing a decent bull with my muzzleloader
Killing a decent mule deer with my muzzleloader
Killing a couple hogs in the south
Killing a decent whitetail with my bow

Having the time to do as much hunting I can while working on the road...the last few years have been pretty tough on me.

Wake up On opening day.
Heal up enough from latest surgery to bird hunt this year would be icing on the cake.

After an early summer in the Boundary Waters Wilderness training midshipmen from the US Naval Academy, it is off on a scouting mission in SW CO (for a presumed MZL deer hunt), hit most of the national parks with my wife and grand-daughters, overnight horseback trip in the Gros Ventre (WY). Return to CO in Sept. to finally locate that Booner mulie that has been keeping me awake at night, find some small game and antelope in WY, and then if I am really lucky, get to see the one remaining deer in NE MN while sitting in a tree this November while freezing my gizzard.

For me, I've got some fun hunts planned. If I tag out on them all, it will be a dream season.

Starting out in late August with a fly-in Stone Sheep, Goat, Caribou and Elk hunt (DIY)

Next up is a guided moose hunt

Followed by mule deer and whitetails in November.

This is the plan as of now but things can be added / changed when the draws come out.

Shed hunting went great this spring. One last trip to some private land Saturday.

Morel mushroom hunting coming up quick. Fingers crossed. Maybe some sheds too.

We bought new wetsuits for free diving spearfishing. Hope that staying warm will encourage us to stay in the water and go deeper. Hopefully that translates into walleye.

We would like to kill something this fall. We are very new to big game hunting and have yet to shoot anything. It would be nice to tip something over. Wyoming and West River deer tags for us both is the plan. Very focused and committed to doing what it takes to harvest at least one nice deer.

Son and I have been planning this for a few years. Both of us will be (most probably) going in with either sex elk, buck deer and bear tags for the archery month here in Colorado. Gonna try and fill all six tags as we dubbed it our own "Slam". Still got some prep to do this summer.

Wyoming antelope hunt maybe in Oct then 4th season cow hunting here in Colorado

Will mix in some trout fishing when able...... and something different this year......I'm setting aside elk meat now to make jerky to take up the mountain in September......I've never been able to do that...seems like every year I say in the woods how nice it would be to have some.

Good luck to all and thanks for sharing.

That's an easy one. Draw one of these tags that I have been putting in for 38 years EACH and have never drawn....MOOSE & SHEEP. Get to spend a lot or time in the hills hunting my moose or sheep and finally locating the animal I want to get after many days looking. Put on a nice sneak and get into comfortable rifle range and make a clean kill. Now that I have my sheep/moose I get to savor some time with the animal and thank it and God for the fine meals and a lifetime of memories it will provide. Then I get to work my butt off getting it out of the hills and back to the truck. Yep that's just part of it and as much a part of the story as any other portion.

Get the time and money to backpack into my local OTC zones with their 5% success rates and fill both my deer tags with some nice bucks. I'm finally starting to figure out these areas and I'm excited to see what they hold this year.

Well I'm an expert in this type of day dreaming!
Tomorrow I'm off to hunt sika stag in the rut.
In May I'll hunt Red stag by bow (they will be feeding up post roar).
In June I'll be tahr hunting in the rut and would like to get a bull by bow.
Early Sept - I have a Wyoming elk tag so try and better last years bull with a big 6x6 by bow.
Mid Sept - bow hunt a WY mountain goat or may be moose. Definitely dreaming here, but I am in with a chance!
Late Sept - Big pronghorn to get mounted.

Take either. A mulie or bull with a bow in CO. Possibly arrow a bear? Draw out and hunt hard my NV Desert Sheep. Since we are dreaming, head home and help my dad fill a depredation bull tag.

Hopefully, the Swedish swimsuit team will be testing new prototype bikinis with faulty stitching in key areas, while kayaking down whatever river I end up fly fishing on in Colorado this summer. If that doesn't happen, I at least hope the fish will be biting.

We decided to burn points on muzzleloader tags this year, so hopefully I'll run across a bull elk in CO during September. Gonna do a drop camp with my grandpaw and a buddy. Really looking forward to that.

Whitetails in October and November is a sure thing, it's just a matter of how much time I will have to get to enjoy it. Maybe I'll have some pesky sheep tag that burns up all of my vacation days instead.

Oh, I almost forgot about the ducks and geese. Got to make sure to kill a few of those for some gumbo.

This year we are taking two consecutive weeks off for rifle season in Montana plus taking some extended weekend trips during archery season. I would love to fill my elk tag with my bow and harvest a mature buck with my gun.
