FoxPro seems to work pretty good...lol Just kidding guys. I like a 4 way box call I have. Have called a bunch of birds in with it. Best sounding call I have heard was a slate call a friend has. I can't make it sound very good but he is amazing with it.

A real slate with a hardwood striker. I also loved the primos "limb hanger" mouth call, not sure if they make them anymore.

I have a 1990 model ol yeller slate. I love it and have killed many a longbeard called with it. I have many other calls but none even come close.

The call that has killed the most turkey's for me has been a glass pot call. They just love it.

I use all types of calls, but the one I use most is a Primos True Double mouth call. Raspy and easy to use. I also like two box calls. One is made by Albert Paul (Paul's Calls in Mississippi) and the other is called the Last Call, made by Robert Clifft, Bolivar, Tennessee.
All of these calls are very effective.
I will say that no two calls are the same, even if they are identical models. Some are just better than others at stirring a gobbler's interest. But calling in general is not about the sound, it is more about the rhythm and knowing when to call and when to shut up.

Perfection brand mouth calls. An avid turkey hunter introduced me to Perfection calls several years ago. I use the single reed most of the time, but also use a double reed some of the time.

I lost my Ol' Yeller on a hunt 2 years ago, miss it a lot. I use and carry several different types of calls and while I probably use mouth calls the most I like friction calls the best.
