what Lowa boot do you prefer for the mountains

looking at trying to start getting gear ready for a trip we are planning to WY in 2016 for early season archery elk
footwear is my first thing I want to get. and I don't want to skimp on boots ao I have been looking at the Lowa line if boots. I was going that you all could give me some ideas on what Lowa you prefer for the early season hunts. I would assume that time of year that temps could be still fairly warm and my feet do sweat quite a bit so insulation I don't really think I should need but wanted to get opinions from you all on it

I have the Tibet GTX boots and loved them running around the canyons in New Mexico this year. They are pretty stiff boots with pretty good ankle support. I don't think you can beat the lacing system on these boots. Grip is good as well and they also work well on flat ground too without feeling like you are walking on a 2x4. I will say that mine took a while to break in, but now that they are they are the best boots I've ever worn. Don't be afraid to look at other brands though just in case the Lowas don't fit your foot too well. My foot is a 13, long toes, and skinny foot. Hard to find boots narrow enough for me, but these work well.

Tibet GTX here as well extremely good boot. I have been wearing them on my Mountain hunts for the past few years. They still have not started to blow out or stretch out on the sides. lace locking system is the best on any boot I have worn. I dont have any mercy on boots!!

Not to poach this post but has anyone had any problem with blisters on there heels?I have the Tibet Gtxs also.Mine did it to me this weekend

Little tenderness in my heel but that got taken care if once they were broken in and a better lacing technique. Search on here for lacing boots or something along those lines. Great video similar to how I lace mine by 25 contender I believe

I have the Lowa Rangers and love em. Never had blisters nor sore feet. Work great for early season. Crossing creeks and even snow and my feet not once got wet. Do get a little cold in the snow being uninsulated though so I went and got the Lowa hunters for when the snow hits and weather turns bad.

Not any where near as knowledgeable as some of the folks on this forum about this but my brother and I just did a five day backpacking trip and my Lowa Tibets worked like a champ and my brother who was using another top of the line boot had to deal with wet feet. The conditions were pretty wet with snow and extremely muddy horse trails. Don't skimp on footwear!

I just got a pair of Lowa Tibets for my birthday(60!). They sure feel good, I don't have many miles on them yet but I'm sure I will eventually.

I don't know the name of mine but they are lowa, and they run 250.00 I get a new pair of them every other year for my idaho elk hunt then finish off the rest of Az.hunting season end of January, then I wear them to work in for the next year and a half, then it's time to do the whole thing over again,I guess in short that means i like my lowa boots.

Tibets here also. One of the best decisions i have ever made. I have wide feet, and the wide tibets are barely wide enough for me. I am afraid I may have some problems in cold weather because I can't pile thick socks on very easy. I will say that the lacing locks are great. I basically don't even tighten the laces at the bottom to give me as much room as possible. I then torque them down on the heels, and I have never had any heel slip with these from day 1.

Does Lowa (or any other boot manufacturer) make a boot for narrow widths? I wear an 11.5 Narrow (B width) and finding boots that fit is very difficult.
