What happened to the Cabelas Cupons??!!

The BP purchase of Cabela's is having a huge impact. I have several friends who work at Cabela's corporate in Sidney, NE.

Not good times...

What is the word on what will happen? Will there be a Cabelas? Or will they all turn into BP?

Is Cabelas brand gear dead?

A friend was an exec at Cabelas. He just quit. Got 1 1/2 years salary plus they cashed out all his stock options when the buyout took place. I told him he sucked. He said he has the head hunters already calling, but he stated he's taking a couple years off. Imagine the rank & file guys won't have it as good. Plus they're stuck with houses no one wants.

Upper management will always be the first to go when a company is bought out by another.

There is no reason to keep them around just for the simple reason that the purchasing company already has their management already in place so there is no need to duplicate the workforce.

I have been part of 3 companies that got bought out. Always the upper level mangers ended up kicking cans down the road unless they were willing to be uprooted and move to the new corporate headquarters where ever that was. For the rank and file worker bees work went on as usual, just new rules and managers to report to.

I've heard that Cabelas name stores will mainly be hunting oriented and Bass Pro will be fishing oriented.

I received in the mail today a Cabela’s $10 off of my next $40 purchase. Expires 3/31/18. I just received an order of about $190.00 last week for a few items. This is usually when I receive these. Right after I have ordered what I need. SMH
