What happened to the Cabelas Cupons??!!

I am looking at getting some new glass for this years upcoming hunts.

My wife and I were talking/negotiating/budgeting last night and were discussing how Cabelas used to send spend 500$ get 50$ off coupons, spend 1000$ get 100$ off coupons.

What happened to those? I dont receive them in the mail like I used to.

Is anyone else still receiving these?

If I were you I would just buy some gift cards online. They usually have 15 to 20% off gift cards.

I spend 30K+ a year on their cabelas card. I dont see how they would forget about me lol.

Its probably because I have the black card. They dont send me the still because they figure I already get a 5% discount.....

I get a couple of discount coupons through the mail every year but they really don't amount to very much by the time you consider what you are paying for their stuff.

I have actually started to find better deals elsewhere on line and it doesn't have the Cabela's name all over it.

You can find gift cards for sale on ebay from SVM (or maybe it is SMV). I have purchased enough $100 gift cards at $80 to buy a pair of swarovski 15x56mm binos. That is a 20% discount for a bino that never goes on sale. The only catch is you can only buy 3 gift cards per household at a time. I had my family members and even a few friends buy them during the sales for me. Sometimes the deal is $100 for $82. If you load up and are patient, you can get some great deals. The cards seem to go on sale quite often.

They do go on sale quite often at auction sites. . I also use the website activejunky. This site gives you cash back for purchases at certain sites. Every few weeks they do 10% back at Cabelas. That?s when I spend my gift cards bought at 20% off like mentioned above. Pm if interested in joining. If I refer you we can both get some extra.

The BP purchase of Cabela's is having a huge impact. I have several friends who work at Cabela's corporate in Sidney, NE.

Not good times...

I feel sorry for those that are ignoring this sale. I bet that I am the first one in line and I won't even have to sleep out in front of the store..

I went in to my local Cabela?s last Saturday, and half the inventory was gone! I asked one of the employees about it, and he said it was part of the reorganization plan. I knew the BP buyout would be bad...
