Upper 70s is my guess... That is a archery shooter in all but the most premium areas imo. You don't get opportunities to take antelope with that kind of character and size very often with a bow.

I wouldn't give him 15 inches but he is a nice buck. Looks like closer to 13-14 to me but it's hard to tell from pics.
Nice buck for a bow and in some areas just a nice buck period.
Hard to tell from the shadows but he has decent prongs it looks like and mass.
No judgement here, can't shoot a big one if you don't pass the smaller ones but he looks fine to me with a bow.
Hope he gets a nice one for his patience!

It would be fun to have everyone take a guess on this bucks score. I would give him a 14" for the close horn and maybe 15" for the far horn. If his ears are the standard 5.5", he will go 14-15". He is no Booner by any means but should make P&Y.
Length - 14 + 15 = 29"
Base - 6.5 x 2 = 13"
2nd mass - 6 x 2 = 12"
3rd mass - 3 x 2 = 6"
4th mass - 1.5 x 2 = 3"
Prong - 6.5 x 2 = 13
My guess is 76".

I'm a bit out of practice- would love to hear from the guys who have been judging a lot recently.

My buddy shot this buck late yesterday morning after passing him opening day. He sat the water until dark on the 15th and stated if he comes in again on the 16th I'm going to shoot him. He told me he goes 15.

Never killed one but have been trying to study in advance of our first WY hunt in 52 this year. Looks like weak tops but decent prongs. Looks just short of 15? with decent base mass. I’m looking to find something 72”+ so he would have gotten a green light to be shot in my head on a quick profile glance. With a bow at that close range, for sure.

Edit, saw the update. Those tops are skinny but long. He put a tape to it?

Congrats to your friend! Just shows how hard they can be to judge from pics. Glad I was off a bit for the length, mature buck however tall he is.
