That sounds like fun and I bet its a great experience. What time of year?
April starts the LL salmon runs with streamers and the dry fly fishing gets going in May, in Maine we can do a cast and blast at the end of September for salmon/trout and grouse. Maine closes a lot of water on the last day of September, but opens grouse on the 26th of Sept if I recall correctly.

September brookie fishing sounds incredible...all the colors of the fall, fish, trees, etc.

I bet its something to see.

It's been a little less than 2 weeks since I got my new knee. I do home excersizes every day and 3 times a week at PT. Quit using the walker and now use a cane. Muscles (especially my thigh) are sore after workouts, but not joint pain. Ice everything down several times a day. Overall my recovery is ahead of schedule....IMHO. Hit 105 degrees on knee flex, have to get to 120. See my Ortho Dr for my first post surgery appointment tomorrow.

UPDATE: hit 115 at PT! Way ahead of schedule.

We spent a week at Grand Lake Stream back in the 80s - salmon and smallmouth bass. Then there was a bog not too far down the road that had a ton of big pickerel in it.

Oh - we fished the base of the dam one night and couldn't keep a fly in the water without a salmon latching on. Got bigger fish during the day tho. Was using the ghost varieties of streamers black & grey.

Montana, should draw deer.
Nevada points, I think.
Wyoming is my bread and butter, probably chase a type three and see if there are any general deer left after this winter. Elk I’m not 100% sure yet but planning to apply for late season hunts.
SD will be points only again but that is a long play.
May this point I think that is it, could easily change though.

Archery mule deer for me here in Co will take most of my time. By the time I scout 25 ish days and hunt not much time left in the fall. Starting to wonder if I will be able to find a deer to hunt as a 1% is getting to be more like one in 200-250 bucks. I find about 300 give or take scouting so we will see.

Hope the wife will draw a bull elk tag and I hope to turn up a tag close to home to hunt elk to fill the freezer.

My father 80 now will hopefully will get a late season cow tag that has turned into a fun hunt for us.

As usual no other states planned but it would be cool to draw NM one of these years.
