hey guys, considering buying a pair of 10x42 vortex diamondback binos. They have really good ratings on Cabela's and the price is very reasonable. Any input would be appreciated or other ideas...thanks!

For bino's in that price range they are hands down the best, IMO. I had a pair and upgraded to the Razors. My bro and cuz both use them and they are awesome!

I use the Diamondbacks 10x42 and really like them. Spent hours and hours looking through them with no problems. Clear glass and great in low light as well. A buddy bought the Nikon ATB's and there is no comparision between the two. My Vortex bino's kick their butt.

I just picked these up after reading the reviews on line and on this forum..

I have used them several times and was a night and day difference between my POS Tascos.

I bought my dad a pair of these for fathers day. I got a chance to use them the other night while doing a spotlight survey for whitetail deer. I was actually able to spot things that the other two folks could not. One was using a paid of Zeiss binos and the other pair I think were Bushnells. I was extremely surprised at the color detail I was able to pick up while looking at an object in the distance with a spotlight, with these binos. For the money, I don't think there is anything better. Are they better than the Swaro's, don't know, but I would say they were just as good if not a tad better then the older model Zeiss's.

I just picked up a pair for my wife. For the price you cant beat them. We where wanting a pair of Leupold Mojaves. They seemed to be a bit clearer but almost twice the price. Looking through the Leupold Cascades, the Diamondbacks are noticeably clearer and brighter. I have a pair of Brunton Eternas and they also seem to be just a bit clearer. About the same as the Mojaves. But as said before they are twice the price. Also the salesman at Cabelas said Vortex has the best warranty hands down. You throw them down a cliff and Vortex will get you a new pair.
