Hey guys. I was thinking about investing in a new pair of Binos. I am a broke college student, but I do want to get a versatile, high quality, and powerful pair. I was looking at the Vortex Diamondbacks.
A few of the pair I am looking at are in the range of $230-$300. Does anyone have any experience with them? Or maybe some other suggestions? Magnification preferences for hunting in CA, NV, MT, WY? Thanks!

Ryan, I own a pair of these and love them. For the money I feel they are the best glass you can get. One of our members on here, Hardstalk, sells them for very reasonable prices.

I've owned both nikons entry level version in the same price range and the diamondback and I will never own another pair of nikons again. I love mine, I have them in 10 power which should be plenty of magnification for what you wanna do

Awesome, great info. Thank you, brother! I will have to check him out. What magnification are you using?
Mine are also 10X. I used them a ton this past season hunting elk in Wyoming and hunting Nebraska open country mule deer. I spent hours behind them without any issue.

Contact Andrew, Hardstalk he is our Vortex dealer here on the forum. He will hook you up. Sometimes he has used binos that he can sell you for much less then new.

Awesome! I live behind my binos and my nikons are getting a little dated. I think I will contact Andrew and pull the trigger on those 10x42s. Thanks for the feedback guys.

The 10x42 dback is what I have and they'll suit you great. Small for chest carry, put them on a tripod and they hold their own!

I also have the 10x42 dbacks and was amazed at how well they perform. Very clear and great in low light. Don't hesitate a bit to go with them.

My family has 10x42 diamondbacks and I have 15x50 viper hds. Got em from hard stalk/ Andrew and he's a great fella. My dad won $3000 Leica ultravid hds that are 12x50's and they're maybe just a touch clearer then my vortex binoculars and mine were almost 1/6 of the price! Vortex binos are high grade glass at a great price point that competes with the best in the biz!

I've had the 10x42 Diamondbacks, and I now have the 10x42 Vipers. The Vipers are a much better binocular, and are made in Japan whereas the Diamondbacks are made in China.

The Diamondbacks will work if you can't afford more, but just know that you'll soon be wanting to upgrade.

What do you find to be the biggest difference between the vipers and the diamondbacks? I really like my Diamondbacks for my needs.

I have both the 10x42 Diamondbacks and Zen Ray ED3 in 10x42. I paid $330 for the Zen Ray and I gave the Diamondbacks to my wife for occasional use. Just my two cents worth.
