If it is very cold I wear one- especially archery hunting. I feel they restrict you less than full sleeve coats so drawing your bow in cold weather is still manageable.

I have a sitka Jetstream and a Firstlite Labrador. I use them all of the time, especially bowhunting. I am tempted to pick up a Primaloft Patagonian Nanopuff this season.

wear em year round. got way to many to list. I even use the normal vest with my bob vest. Basically take a wool shirt that shrunk on you. cut the collar off and the sleeves to short sleeve length. great layering system. I got a very light fleece that I did that with. goes good under my kayaking dry top or under my rain shell mountain biking.

I love wearing a vest for layering. I especially like it in summer /early fall when glassing early when it's chilly and it's smaller than a jacket to throw in my bag when it warms up. I am set to upgrade to a kuiu guide vest but my size has been back ordered for what seems like forever.

I like vests when hunting and working. Helps with the core temp and doesn't restrict movement. Love them for bow hunting.

I have the Sitka kelvin light. I chose the vest because it is a nice addon to layering, but not excessive. I also wanted the primaloft for safe insulation if I get soaked. I don't have slot of time on it, but so far I am a big fan.

Love wearing vests. It's the first thing I reach for after a long sleeve shirt. I have a windproof fleece for early season and a down vest for late. They really help keep your core warm with out the bulk of a jacket and give you greater freedom of movement.

I'm a huge fan of a good down vest. Easy to take off/throw in pack. Keeps your core warm. Not so much a fan of fleece style vests - but that's just me.

Same here with the kelvin light vest. Mine also doubles for a pillow. I just put it in a stuff sack.

I wear one often. Perfect for packing along while hiking and throwing on when you sit to glass on a wind swept ridge. I have a down vest that I wear almost everyday in the winter and a wool one I use in the fall while hunting.

I love vests wear them all the time especially around the ranch in fall/winter. As others have said really helps keep your core temp up. For hunting I have a sitka kelvin light. Great weight to warmth ratio. Or I'll wear a northface soft shell in cooler weather. If I think I'll need it most of the day.

Love vests, especially where I am a bow hunter keeps the core warm while still being able to draw my bow without the string hitting a bulky sleeve
