Hey my best bud picked up a buck tag in this unit, heading down next weekend to scout. Done the finger scouting, found a few places to start but always open to some thoughts. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

My advice goes for almost any where in NV, get as far away from the road as possible and you will find a shooter, that unit group has some nice deer.

Pm me after next week. I am archery hunting that unit the 10th to the 17th, and have hunted all my years hunting. So I should be able you to point you in the right spot.

Just a suggestion:

Velvet...make sure when you tell someone you have hunted "all my years" that you let them know you are a very young guy (high school). I don't at all mean that disrespectfully, but when you say "all my years" it may come across as if you are a 20 or 30 year vet as a hunter. As an out of stater beav90 is making a large investment of time, vacation and money to hunt Nevada from out of state. It would be great if you have some leads for him.

Beav...I sheep hunted that unit about 10 years ago and saw one quality buck but not enough deer to point you in a direction. My friend had the late deer tag in there a couple years ago. He hired the same outfitter I hunted with for sheep, Nick Perchetti. Nick is an awesome hunter and runs one of the best outfits I have seen. My friend I recalled killed a 165-170 class buck which is about the quality of buck I saw on my sheep hunt.
