Does anybody else own a manfrotto tripod and would you recommend them?

Own several. They make a good tripod. To offer any better input, the model (s) you are considering, along with the head would be helpful.

I do have one and it worked well. Liquid filled head was smooth but I switched to a Vortex to cut weight.

BogPod works well, although they will be heavier than a lot of the weight cutting models out there. Beware though, the lighter the tripod the easier it is to blow over and it is also a lot tougher to digiscope.

I have the 785B. It is very compact and lightweight, but you will sacrifice stability of the spotter.

I have since moved to a Grifiti tripod and nootle pan head. Found the nootle on ebay cheap and figured why not and after this season I prefer it to the highly raved promaster 6160. I now run two set ups for both my spotters and use the girifiti tripod and there nootle head. Fully extended tripod had no issue keeping my 65 spotter stable in a breeze.

I have a Manfrotto and I can say that it is fairly light in weight and easy to set up.

This is the one I have. I don't have much for complaints except that its a little heavier and that I could stand it being about 6" tall when fully extended so I could glass a little easier standing up, but most of the time I'm sitting so it doesn't matter. It folds down nice and has multiple leg angles which comes in handy. I've used it for a couple years and don't plan on switching out anything except maybe going to a pan head instead of ball head, but still not sure on that yet.

just picked up the befree carbon. seems nice, but just got it. I have also had a stand up tripod for years that seems good. definitely not a packable one though.

I have not used the manfrotto but I do have a slik 624cf and a promaster 525 in cf and both are excellent. The slik is slightly lighter but is also shorter. I usually only glass from a seated position anyways. The promaster is cool in that one of the legs detaches to use as a monopod. But i normally carry the slik.

Vortex here as well. Quick and easy to deploy, light, and very stable for the size. I use it for spotter, camera, and camcorder and have never had an issue in 4 years I've owned it.

yes you won't be disappointed get the pistol grip with it also adaptors for your binos they are a lot of $$ but worth it i have a pile of other brands iv tried and there somewhere in the back of the garage

Hard to beat the outdoorsmans. I would pair it with the pan head.

I have the Outdoorsmans compact medium and like it very well. I use it or a Promaster 525 depending on the height I need. I want to add a Outdoorsmans tall someday for glassing standing. I have 2 of the Outdoorsmans pan heads, a shooting rest, and window mount adapter I use with the system. Great products. I like being able to use the heads on the window or tripod.

It's good, go for carbon fiber version as it's quite easy on hands. But I prefer Gitzo or Induro.
