So I have been spending the last few weeks calling offices and asking for trespass fee lists. They do not have Landowner lists with trespass fees. Buffalo had a doe list, Casper had nothing. These are the two that have gotten back to me so far. I am having difficulty nailing down anybody that is still doing trespass fees. I would be willing to go up to $500 each. Once you get to $700-$1000 it is semi guided. Plus it is two or three days. not looking for huge bucks, my son and I each have one preference point each. We have a backup plan, but I don't like hunting in the opening day fray. -- on public ground. I have read a lot on the forum how it is super crowded on the public areas. I have the GPS chip and understand the access etc. Just looking to not compete as much.
I have found a few people that are in the $750 range but again 2 days or maybe three. I realize there is a lot of public ground, I have hunted it all my life in Oregon. I am looking to hunt the animal and minimize the "other hunter" variable as much as possible.
Really not particular on the unit.
Anybody want to throw me some charity and give me someone to call that would be great. The biologists have been very nice and helpful, however they admit some areas are super crowded and the herds are large, but hard to harvest when most are on private ground.
