The Wyoming federal land transfer study will be discussed by the Joint Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Interim Committee, Monday May 11, 2015 at Central Wyoming College, ITECC Building, Room 116 Riverton, Wyoming.

The agenda (below) does not provide much information. My guess is they will discuss the Request for Proposals (RFP) to find a firm to conduct the study.

Seems like most politicians are going to blow which ever way the winds will benefit them. Go to one function and they are for this and to the next function they try to distance themselves. Lets face it, it takes big bucks to get reelected in this country and money is the bottom line for all these politicians period. We can send letters till we are blue in the face unless you are a primary donor you will get the gobbledygook letters like the one above.

Yes sir Contender, I just got another "Update" e-mail from Enzi's office. Same old double-speak, B.S. that I got for a response last time. Doing what's "best" for Wyoming. Wyoming being his deep pockets contributors that get him re-elected every election cycle. I think RMEF and other big name outdoors organizations need to put some pressure on these "champions of the common man".

Was recently talking to a guy from Canada. He proposed that all politicians be required to wear burn suits like nascar drivers with the logos of their sponsors.

It is sad but true that America has come to this. I have e-mailed every politician I can think of about the public land movement. I just read the Blog Guy wrote up on the 14th. That is a great piece of writing. if you guys haven't read it yet it is worth five minutes of your time. I feel that if this movement passes and they start to sell off all of our land we will all have to trespass and hunt the "kings deer'. I hope sportsman across the country vote the garbage out in 16 that voted for this. It seems that every year our voices matter less and less. Big money has ruined our political system and country. I guess we keep fighting the good fight.

I am trying not to get political , but it started to get a lot worse after the outlandish Supreme Court ruling on campaign donations!

That is why I've stop voting straight republican tickets. Republicans haven't done anything for the working man since I've been alive. Only thing they do is protect 2nd amendment. That being said, I think most of them are criminals anyway

The featured editorial in today's Casper Star Tribune is about the future direction of the Republican Party. It does not mention the land transfer issue specifically, but I took the opportunity to comment that I believe the party is out of touch with the sportsmen in the state. I encourage you to do the same. Since this is an editorial in a major newspaper, I am guessing party leaders will be monitoring comments. Let's let them know we want the Republican Party to change its position on this issue.

I've never voted straight republican but after seeing how Obama, Harry Reid and the overwhelming majority of congressional democrats showed their complete disdain for any American other than fellow democrats I will never again vote for a democrat. I don't believe the democrats are criminals, just pathetically dishonest and self-serving. I don't want to see our public lands sold but the dems would love to see our trapping and hunting privileges taken away along with our 2nd amendment rights.

I can't see voting democrat either, especially with their anti-gun agenda. I think our best bet is to try to change the Republican Party's position on the issue of federal land transfer. I suggest we all keep moving in that direction.

I'm a big Ron/Rand Paul guy. I'd probably vote libertarian every time but their position is state control of land.

In a way, there's nothing stopping the fed government from selling the land so why would it be much different if the states owned it? The government would be more beholden to its constituents since they're technically closer to them. I'd prefer the lands to remain federal but I do get sick of Feds running the show when I think local people should have more say
