How many of you go to the trade shows?

Do you wait to buy gear at the shows since most companies are giving deals at the shows?

What?s your normal reason to go to the trade shows? Seeing the latest and greatest gear on the market?

I used to go to a lot of them years ago when I lived in Calif. None since I retired and moved 17 years ago. Just too far from my home place.

I really enjoy them but good ones are 3+ hours away in Portland. I would like to go to the Sheep Show and the SCI show someday. The most interesting once were the ones in Germany when we lived in Europe. You get to see hunting from an entirely new perspective.

I go to the Sheep Show every year, initially to meet and find an outfitter for a moose hunt. This year I'll be going to see what's new out there and to talk and see old friends from BC. I might even eat at Ruby's Trent��

I have attended a couple when I happened to be close... that's pretty rare when you live in rural Nebraska.

yep.to far away, so, I seldom attend one. in fact it has probably been ten years since last one.

I've been to quite a few but rarely buy anything. When I retire I'll probably start gong to the Reno Sheep Show on a regular basis.

That would be awesome. That show brings in a ton of revenue for Reno.

Usually go to see if any new stuff is out, but seems most vendors that I seem to want to see are at a different show at the times that I am at the show in Portland. It's the closest to me. But would like to visit the sheep show someday, besides my wife would love to visit Reno.

I manage to make a Portland show every few years, even though it's close. Occasionally buy something. Feel less of a need to attend with all the info on-line and the sporting goods store that is my garage...

Unfortunately Eastmans won’t have a booth at the show this year. Everyone is extremely busy. Sorry guys.
