Fell victim to point jump this year for antelope and deer. 83 /37. Guess I'll have to decide if it's worth driving half way across the country for a Otc or leftover tag.

Missed on deer tag that was a slam dunk to draw as a second choice last year. Not surprised to miss the long shot antelope I applied for. Now I can focus on my son's and my elk tags. :)

Our group of 4 drew the antelope buck tags we wanted with what turned out to be 60% draw odds this year for the point average we had! So far, of the guys that checked, we are 0 for 2 on the accompanying doe tags.... Very happy to be hunting lopes this year!!

Drew 096-1 Antelope. Took 7 years to draw. Can't wait to hunt Wy for the first time with some great company.

Point jump is an understatement for a lot of areas... just nuts how far some of these areas went up. Private only areas in South East Wyoming that had many left over last year were a low percentage draw even for doe tags. Looks like I'll have to explore new areas if I want antelope does.
There were quite a few left over for south of Gillette it looks like. A little more of a drive I guess, but there is some public to get on.

Thank You Wyoming. In February I drew an Elk tag and today my boys drew antelope tags. I have been planning this hunt for quite some time, I am way beyond excited.

Put uncle in for special antelope with 3 points and he drew.!!!! In special, points required dropped but in regular they really jumped up. I didn't think he had much chance as 3 last year was about 50%. Let the planning begin. :)

I know the areas you are talking about. Used to be my go to on leftovers if I did not draw. Crazy that they draw out now and take preference points with all that private land....just hard to fathom.

Four of us drew the antelope tags we were after this year but it is getting harder and harder each year.
