Second choice elk and first choice antelope for me. Nothing for deer.

The rest of my family did really well so still gonna get plenty of huntin' in this fall.

Daughter and I beat 1-10 odds and drew our Antelope doe tags.

Very few leftover antelope tags this year! I got my two doe tags in the draw, but I guess that'll be it for me. But that's okay we're going to try some grouse hunting, maybe some fishing, and scout for future elk hunts.

Drew my first ever LQ elk in the Big Horns. I am pretty excited. I'm putting in for vacation now, lol. I'm glad I didn't try for my usual areas, those odds weren't quite as good. Changing last minute is my new strategy. No general for me this year, hopefully the orange army can see me later. Kiddo got his antelope that was like 1 in 2 odds, which for around here is a lot of apps., deer was kindof a gimmie but he liked the area last year. Good luck guys.

Dumped both deer and antelope points this year. I finally get to hunt a unit with less tags and a lot more land! No more of that driving 20 miles between parcels. Two in our group have that tag, 2 have 100% tags next door. My buddy and I then donated some points so our whole group could have the same deer tag. It all went according to plan!

I struck out on buck Antelope, Deer and Antelope doe. I swung for the fence and whiffed like I expected.

That should be great! What deer aread did you draw?

This year was not point creep. It was point jump!

Reg. G deer jumped from 3 to 5 pts in the N/R special draw. Antelope 83 N/R special draw went from 0 to 3 pts in one year.

I did draw deer 78-1 as a second choice.

I pulled a buck antelope tag very happy and now can hunt an elk / antelope combo in north west WY. Glad I didn't go for 83, which was one of my early choices.

Point jump is an understatement for a lot of areas... just nuts how far some of these areas went up. Private only areas in South East Wyoming that had many left over last year were a low percentage draw even for doe tags. Looks like I'll have to explore new areas if I want antelope does.

Well today is my birthday and the Game & Fish gave me everything I asked for...a cow elk tag, bull elk tag, antelope tag and a whitetail tag. Thanks WG&F.
