I’m actually planning on putting my name in the hat in Nevada and Wyoming In 2021. I dont have a ton of points, (7NR for deer, elk and antelope) I’m ready to try to go somewhere. I’m mostly interested in deer and antelope right now, elk can come much later.

That should net you a good unit/hunt.
Good luck!

Just for information: I hunt hard, no area is to far, I will not gripe or quit on you, and I will even help you pack out you game while still holding a tag.
Heck this year I even gave my buddy my rifle to shoot a mule deer buck I chose to pass on. He did not have his rifle because we were after antelope and he had filled his antelope tag.
I cannot imagine going across country on a hunting trip and not working your butt off, that is what makes it fulfilling. For me the experience is what it is all about. I always felt that whatever group I went with, we were a team and whatever success was had was the teams success. Everyone wants to fill their tag and that's totally understandable, but there is so much more to enjoy about a trip "out West" with family or friends then just filling a tag.

It is harder to find a good hunting partner that almost any other relationship. I have had guys that have gone along that you had to kick them to get them out of the way so you could do everything for them. I certainly have been blessed to have a son who puts in the effort and never complains. We go it alone each year but I have been encouraging him to find someone before I get to old to go. :):):)

I have a couple of great hunting partners. One is my brother in law, however he is not as healthy as he would like. But he will go just to be out in the woods.

Another one was a person that I met when I moved to Colorado for work. He and I have been on more adventures than most people can even dream of going on. We had a new worker transfer up here from Arizona and one day I was talking to him and asked him if he ever hunted javelina down in Arizona. My old partner just looked at me and asked "what's a javelina". It didn't take much to get him interested in hunting them. He is the only one of a group of 6 that goes down to Arizona every year along with me to chase those ghost of the desert. The fun part with him is that he is the same age as I am, so we can compare aches and pains on that 15 hour drive down and then back every year.

I used to have a great hunting partner. We parted way about ten years ago. Since then my hunts partners are my wife and daughter’s. They are great but I still
miss the man to man conversations and grit he had. I have to do all the grunt work with my girls. Sam was a beast and it was hard for me to keep up with him. I alway knew once an animal was down I was going to have to give it 110% to match his idle. In the end I think that’s was split us up. He never did tell me but the last time we hunted together was the worst pack out we ever had, three days of misery packing elk out of hell’s canyon. The next year I drew a sheep tag in the same area and asked if he wanted to join me and he declined. We’ve barely spoken since. We were friends for over thirty years.

At some point, I need to pick your brain on those late season deer and, of course, javelin, hunts.

It's that time of year. What I need you guys to do is figure out what elk Wyoming unit I should put in for. I'm a non resident with 10 preference points. I also need you guys to find me a 350 inch bull no more than 1/4 mile from a road. Please setup trail cams in the area and provide pics of all bulls. If I kill a bull and you help me with the pack out I'll give you a tenderloin. Thanks.
Funny post! I posted asking for feed back for the first time ever today. I hope people don’t think I’m “that guy”

You can draw some solid tags with 7 points!

Any hunt area that takes 7 points for antelope is likely going to be good. I don't know what your goal is for deer, but that one is a little tougher.

I had that feeling about deer. I’ve been looking any Wyoming stats pretty deep this last few weeks. I’m trying to narrow my selection for antelope.

Hoping to draw an elk tag this year. After the draw last year I am having to totally rethink my approach. Sadly I think hunting Wyoming every year is a thing of the past. And the boy is getting bigger and wanting to go now. So I will be staring at a computer screen a lot more trying to get us some hunts
