this is what excites me most in this giveaway - Weatherby Vangaurd Synthetic Rifle Chambered in .257 Weatherby- I would use it on my Elk and Deer hunts! I used to have a 243 and loved it, until my husband traded it for a 7MM thinking I would like that more...this rifle would be nice to shoot so I could fill the freezer with meat!!! Attached is a collage of photos, me with my deer, one of an elk we got and brought back in our Jeep feet hanging out and another of cars we shot at a friends house as he stuffed them with tannerite and as we shot at it it finally blew!! me with my deer-elk-shooting blowing up cars..jpg

A new rifle or bow would be awesome, but somebody else would probably get more use from them than I would. I would love a Yeti cooler, but they're only grizzly-proof, not 9-year-old-son proof. All those clothes are probably great, but they just wouldn't match my Walmart camo.

So.....I'm gonna go practical and say the Camp Chef cooking package. Gotta eat on every trip, and that looks like a good way to cook it. Besides, I only talk tough, and I'm not really a backcountry hunter. That would be perfect sitting on the tailgate of a pickup.

Bowtech Experience would make a great upgrade from my entry level Diamond bow! And I would use it on every single hunt that I get tags for. Thanks for the giveaway!

A couple pictures from a muzzleloader whitetail hunt a few years ago. Nothing better than standing at the truck frying burgers after a successful packout. The fanciest stove in the world wouldn't have made those burgers taste any better, but alas, my old stove gave up on me, so I need a new Camp Chef stove so I can fry more burgers after my next successful hunt.

Thanks Eastman's!

Of course having the Mystery Ranch pack would of been better to pack this muley out all at once instead of the basic Field line pack. The only pack that was in my budget.

I am in need of a pair of boots for my Wyoming Elk hunt in October. The Kenetrek's are what I have been looking at to replace the ones that I have. Would love to test them on this hunt. Thanks to all on this terrific giveaway.

Here is a photo of camp from a recent elk hunt and shows why I need the Badlands Sleep System. The tent was kind of tight! When I went in, the extra gear had to come out!

Awesome giveaway- Thank you Eastman's!

The Weatherby .257 is the item that excites me most. I have been debating back and forth between buying this rifle or a 25-06 to be used for many upcoming big game hunts. Winning this would make the decision very easy. What would I use it for?- filling the freezer with the best meat on the planet IMO.

The Yeti Coolers would have been awesome on this elk trip! Extreme temperature swings are the norm out in the desert and a great cooler set sure would have been nice.

Oh my, where do I start? Thank you to the Eastmans' crew for putting this together first of all! That Mystery Ranch pack would be the cat's meow on my next back country hunt this fall.

Man this giveaway is awesome!! Thanks Eastmans for doing something like this for all the fellow hunters on here! But here is my favorite giveaway and story:
The giveaway that would benefit me most is definitely the Weatherby Vanguard .257, I know i would put this gun to much use with the hunts and years still to come. Here is my story of a hunt that this gun would have come in handy:

After waiting 11 years to draw the tag of a lifetime in Colorado for a chance at taking a Mountain Goat, my dreams came true! I was headed to no man's land way above timber line to hunt these magnificent animals! With my bags packed and .270 sighted in, I was on my way. After scouting the night befote season, we had spotted one that looked good through the spotting scope, but would take a 2 mile hike straight uphill to get a better look at the next morning. After getting up before dawn we embarked on this long, treacherous journey towards the goat of my dreams. Halfway up the mountain we came across a long stretch of shell rock that was still wet from the frost the night before. After carefully planning route to go, we took a chance at it. These rocks were a shear nightmare so we had to go slow and carefully. About 3/4 of the way across these rocks, my feet gave out from under me and I slipped back and landed on my right shoulder, the same shoulder my gun sling was on and I heard a loud crack! After regaining myself off the ground, I instantly looked at my gun and sure enough, it had taken some damage. Not only was it scratched up, but the barrel looked like it had gotten bent in the process, and the scope had taken some damage as well. Being halfway up this god forsaken mountain already, I knew that it was much to risky to go the rest of the way and take a shot at the goat having zero confidence my gun would still be sighted in, let alone blow up in my face because of the fall. So, we had to make the dreaded hike back down the mountain to camp to work on my gun and sight it back in. Let me tell ya, it was one quiet night that night in camp. The next morning, we spotted the goat again and it turns out he hadn't bed down but 300 yards from where he was the previous day. So we made the long hike back up the mountain towards him. Hours later, we were close enough to take the shot at this goat of a lifetime! I snuck up over a bank of rocks, and 200 yards away he laid, bedding on a shelf of cliffs. My first shot, BOOM! I missed, he woke up and made a run for it. The next 3 shots hit him and I had FINALLY bagged this beautiful and majestic mountain goat! It was truly a hunt of a lifetime and I will never forget the ups and down that went along with this hunt, but I thank God for the outcome. Thank you Eastmans for a chance at this giveaway and a chance to share my story!
