I came here after being told about this forum while I was on another talk forum.
I came to the site and read over lots of the posts.
It seemed not only informative, but I believe most of the members here are not only knowledgeable ,but more importantly they are respectful and wanting to help a fellow hunter if they can.
Eastman's Magazine helped me plan my first hunt out west. The MRS section was the info I needed to get me to start planning and gathering info.
I'm now hooked on western hunting. Hopefully I can add to the welth of knowledge here and help someone get out on a great hunt of their own.
I have suggested this site to many. Can't say I have kept track of how many came over and looked it over.
I'm a recent member and most I have recommended this forum to were in the past month or so. They may not have gotten around to checking it out yet.

Thanks to all at Eastman's for all you've done to help get good information out there for guys like me.
I couldn't have planned my hunts without it, without some hard learning curves and serious disappointment.

I came across the forum from a random internet search. Not very active on social media and haven?t recruited others. I should get others involved because I have benefited from information here.

I found the forum on my own and recommended it to many. I do not think any of them have signed up. I don't always have something to contribute but I typically read everything.

I saw some shows thru the years about the Eastman's and their extensive out west hunting and after doing a quick search online and checking out the site i've now been a subscriber for 2 years and still cant believe anyone in their right mind who hunts out west WOULDNT be a member, I have mentioned to a few friends about the forum but I think they just lurk in the background and don't join/post. We test a lot of gear, and sometimes it sits here for a while. Which means it ends up in my office for me to give away to you guys.

So up for grabs today I have...

A Caldwell Precision Chronograph

A Draumr Hammock

Dillon Elk Calls pack

To enter this giveaway I need you to do one of two things:

1. List the person who invited you this forum or..

2. List the people who you have invited to the forum who have joined.

From the posts winners will be randomly selected in two weeks!
I am not sure really.. It might have been my wandering around in the woods looking for the friend request from PJ Safaris; notification from Eastman's Hunting Journal Official Forum

Thanks Guys :)

I have been a member of a few but mainly just stop in here now.

A good stoy I have is that I got real and solid beta from a member on here about the Jungo road out of wimmneucca. I have had to go to burning man several times and that road would save us 4+ hrs each way of drive time back to Co. Got told of total horror stories about it from burners.... Asked on here and good good beta from a member and on the next trip saved some solid time - as well as avoided exodus - and the road is not that bad unless you are a burner lol..

Then we kept in touch for his 16' archery deer hunt where he killed a very big 29" wide buck with a small drop.

This year I have been researching archery elk in Wyoming Unit 11, asking fellow hunters for some insight on the unit. I believe I was referred to this site by a friend that goes by Deertick.
