Has anyone tried to use them to fill up a vehicle? I’ve tried a couple times and the result is no. Usually the nozzle is to short to to go down the tube to push past the safety flap on the vehicle or if you make it that far, your unable to push the safety device to let the fuel out.

mine is a gas station.
actually I don't understand why people don't just buy the kit and convert the new style cans back top the old . you can get it on amazon for 10 or 20 bucks and it is easy to do.

An adapter and this skinny little spout is about $12-$15 when a new can is $16-20. What a racket. A funnel is $6 and can be used with all gas cans. You need a long skinny funnel for filling a car or truck. The wide ones with screen are great, just not enough length to reach the flap in a fill port.
