I really did use those! I packed out 2 elk wearing Wall Mart boots with plastic liners over my socks 30 years ago lol. Worked good enough.

In all seriousness, as a society we still suck at creating vaccines against viral stuff. Even the flu shot is a crap shoot. Helps against some stuff but you can still catch and spread the flu. This isn't much different. Helps against some of the strains but people still catch and spread it.
