JJ, that's right, we leave on the 20th I think. I just finished unpacking and cleaning gear to get ready to come your way. I'll pm few days a head of time. I talked to Dave Monday at Judith River taxi, he's been sick and hasn't started yet on my buck. He's waiting for the pedestal to start. He assures me he'll been done though before we head back home:)

Great photo's!! That's beautiful country and it has moose in it, so that makes it even more special. Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

Matt, I'm looking forward to that picture of a big rainbow on that 9wt rod with a purple roostertail, with of course a barbless hook! Thanks to all. Like I said, I hope that some day YOU ALL get to do an adventure like this. I know I'm the lucky one today, but I want you to be the lucky ones!

Haha. Big Brown you mean, and yes barbless treble hook. Lol.
We will see. Wanting to see it get a little cooler out there. Fishing is always better the nastier the weather. Me and my dad kinda of have a saying "were only happy when were miserable" and that's pretty much the truth. If it's raining/snowing and cold we have smiles on our faces. Kinda like elk hunting.

We'll if it snows a lot you can help JJ pack out his bison! It's a fair trade for some of that bison hide. Then you could tie up one of the wooly bison streamers:)!

I would gladly help JJ pack out his bison. I'm afraid it's not going to be cold enough when I'm out there. Those bison don't move out of the park until it gets really nasty. It may be late November or December before they call him up. But hey JJ if you need me between Oct.21st and 27th let me know. I leave the 28th. That bison fur with an articulated double bunny streamer would look nice together! ;)

Just saw your post here, disregard the other post asking when you are going on your float trip. I actually have all of those days off due to rifle season opening on Oct. 24th, so I will be looking for a trophy bull elk with the tag that I drew. Maybe I could meet up with you guys for a day or two, let me know what your plans are.

Tim & ivory, the alcan from Fort Nelson to Toad River was by far the most beautiful driving part of my trip! The Priest river cutoff before Fort St.John and Dawson Creek is almost as beautiful! They're proposing to build a dam there! What a waste of beautiful country! Like I said earlier, I hope All of you get at some point to have an adventure like this! Good hunts to all!

Pete,

In 1985 my Dad and a friend of his went moose & elk hunting on the Toad River. They took a jet boat quite a distance up the river to the outfitters base camp. Both of them got a bull moose and one bull elk. My Dad always talked about this trip. It was his trip of a lifetime.

I received a call last night from my taxidermist last night! My 2015 moose was ready to be picked up after 5 1/2 months! He won't be on the wall for a few weeks. Here he is I'm thrilled with the taxidermy work by Dicks Taxidermy in Granite Bay Ca. image.jpg
