I don't know what's better, leaving California or moving to Colorado! :p
I think that it is best leaving California. There are a few other states other than Colorado that are nice to be moving to but to get out of that west coast state is a great deal.

Welcome to Colorado you will love it except for the way that the political climate is changing.

Congrats and welcome to the Colorado Springs area !!

Do you have any Colorado Non-Resident Preference Points saved up?
I'm wondering if they'll transition to Resident Points when you move here?

A point is a point is a point is a point.

No difference between resident and non resident except for the number it takes to draw a tag.

Thanks everybody! But no, I do not have any points for Colorado. I have only ever hunted California unfortunately. I keep hearing how Colorado is changing more and more and that is certainly unfortunate. But it sure beats the hell out of living in SoCal anymore! I will be searching for a home as soon as I get there but will be staying with family for the time being. Regardless, I am super stoked!

Congrats man, you are going to love it here! I moved 10 years ago from Central California and I am very thankful still to this day. Good luck to you and your family!

I did the same thing you are doing 18 years ago and never regretted a day. I was born and raised in southern California and worked my whole career there. But the California I knew is gone and will never be back. I hunted, fished, hiked and camped the whole state and it was a wonderland.

Colorado, while not perfect, is a hell of a lot better then the state I left. If you are ever down in the SW part of the state (Durango, Cortez, Dolores), let me know and we can have a brewski and lament about good times past!!

Welcome my friend............
