I seriously wish more people would at least put out a couple dog proofs at their house every year for a couple months and catch a handful of raccoons. I don’t think people understand how detrimental nest raising predators are to just about everything bird related.
You can follow the turkey population trend almost line for line with the price of fur. It’s actually quite impressive to see the correlation.
When fur prices are up, turkey populations go up. When fur prices are down, turkey populations go down. And when I mean, the trend line is almost identical, I’m not even kidding. It’s mirrored.
