They are getting the best of me for sure. Trapping coyotes has got to be one of the most frustrating things I have ever done.

Deer are not that interested in the turnips and radishes here for some reason. I'm going to switch to something that does not have those seeds in it this spring. It may have helped the soil but it didn't hold the deer for me.
Try rye. I had deer that wouldn’t touch any sort of brassica or bulb, but planted rye and they just hammered it! Also chicory, they always seemed to pound that down!

I'm guessing a coyote killed the coon. It was lying there dead. Coyotes are attracted to skunk smell so I figure he must have came in to see what all the fuss was a-boot.

The skunk was very much alive. And VERY stinky. I had to sneak up behind that tree to shoot him with my pistol and I shot him twice....just to be sure. lol

Thats all she wrote for this season except for the coyotes.

Total:

2 Red Foxes
6 Possums
7 Trash Pandas
1 Coyote
1 Skunk

Thats a lot of predators to catch out of a small area.

Coyote Trapping only from here on out until turkey season.
