I really don't have any trails that need to be cleared other than forest service roads that someone will go into way before I do. But I do pack a chainsaw in my truck when I go out just encase I need it for something.

Now a friend who hunts off of a private ranch and has trails going up onto BLM land will clear them as soon as he can get into them. This all depends on the amount of snow in the area. This year he doesn't have to worry about snow but a major fire that went through the area last summer so I am sure that he will be cutting up a lot of dead fall on his trails.

I spend so much money on gas during hunting season that if I scouted all summer I would be broke by hunting season.
Your not going to "Keep Tabs" on a deer in GA very easily.

Its too hot and there are too many copperheads to rattlesnakes down here to be boon-docking during the summer in these woods.

It's 50/50 where I hunt on how much of the trails are cleared. Where I actually hunt is off the beaten path and I won't clear them but if llamas will struggle to get through I will work on it a little bit.

This year will not be bad but after the big avy cycle in 2018 some of the roads were not cleared until the middle of the 2019 summer and only because of the local jeepers clubs.

With all this heat the snow is almost gone here.

I start mine as soon as my Covid furlough job ends August 1st! So I can use my work travel expenses. 😊 Will scout CO unit 61 elk after mid-September software training in Denver. Then will book some facilities in St. Louis when we go back on the road October 1st, where I drew a special archery deer permit. All expenses paid for. I ❤ my job. I doubt I’ll ever retire.
