Went out this morning to start the pick up to warm up and load our gear in the Yamaha Viking and some POS stole the Viking and the trailer it was sitting on! It was hooked up to the truck ready to go the night before at 9pm and gone by 5am.

With social media we were able to locate the trailer not to far from our house is a dirt lot but no Viking. We fallowed the tire track till they hit pavement.

Good thing is the Viking is insured and in the end we will get another but what a disappointment.

What is the world coming to? Insurance is good in the long run but it sure doesnt help on your hunt today. Didnt this happen to someone else on the forum too?

That's crazy, i don't know what a Yamaha Viking is but it sounds expensive. Hope your insurance takes care of you quickly.

Dirt bags... It is things like this that are pushing me to install a DVR system. Sorry that happened man- go out and buy a newer model and do your best to not let it ruin your season.

That sucks, even with insurance you probably will have a deductible to meet and the insurance co. probably will give you what its worth (depreciation value) and not replacement cost. I have a cabin on my hunting property that's been broken into twice. I can't stomach thieves. Hope the thieves breaking their neck on the damn thing.

Nothing I hate worse than a thief. Our farm has been broken into twice over the years, We've had bows, ATV's clothes, fishing gear and farm equipment stolen.
Keep breaking into people's farms, looking for guns, and eventually you'll end up on the wrong end of one.

Hope you get your rig back, and it's not too messed up.

Unbelievable that this shit happens. What was going through your mind that morning when you walked out and saw it missing? Skid steers, atvs and trailers seem to disappear frequently and seldom found. An atv was stolen out of the back of the co-op's pickup recently.
My uncle was up in his barn 50 years ago watching for a coyote just as it was getting light out. A van came down the road and stopped. The guy got out and walked out in the field a ways and picked up a new born calf and headed back towards the van with it. Uncle directed his shot about 20 ft off to the side. He said the guy tossed the calf straight up in the air over his head and sprinted back to the road.

Sure was sad reading about them taking it and wrecking it so fast. Good job finding it though. Hope they can catch the folks that took it.
