I'm good for about 2-3 days, then its a creek bath, or the little solar heated jug in the poop tent. Works well,
Showers on a back country hunt?! Man.. I'm doing it wrong.
I just trade out merino wool underwear and t-shirt every day, and change the same two pairs of socks about every 8 hours. I'll clean my face and hands off with some baby wipes every other day or so.
Here in NV there are a great many of these natural hot springs. They actually are fairly common.Haha those aren't that common but it would be nice
These wet ones have a very strong scent. I definitely would recommend them if your doing a hunting trip.Backcountry Ditty Bag Conents (for 7 days):

....and a small Dial soap bar cut into quarters.
I did that once in Utah in early October. We had been elk hunting for a week and it was just time to do something other than a spit bath. I grabbed a bar of soap stripped down and headed to the deepest part of the small stream a short distance away. I jumped in and got wet and then out, I then soaped down and back into the stream I went to rinse off. The whole process took less than a couple of minutes but I sure felt better, and I am sure that I smelt better.Thoughts on getting in a stream/river with bar of soap in SW Montana middle to late Sept? We will be there 15-17 days in the backcountry so I'm thinking I'd feel pretty nasty

Some of those streams can be surprisingly cold... Used a small stream in SE OR once in early Oct, it was warm during the day, cool at night. Boy was I ever surprised and had to immediatey adopt a different cleaning process, no submersion, just lots of splashing. Sure felt better after.Thoughts on getting in a stream/river with bar of soap in SW Montana middle to late Sept? We will be there 15-17 days in the backcountry so I'm thinking I'd feel pretty nasty
