My fellow outdoorsman,

I am trying to get a list of the states I should be buying/putting in for bonus points to hunt Antelope. I live in AZ and have built up a nest egg of points here, hopefully will pull the tag next season, I went to Wyoming this month and shot a nice buck and had a blast. I know Utah and Nevada are currently on the list, let me know if there is anywhere I should add to it.

Thanks!

The best state to consistently hunt them is Wyoming. Eastern Montana was good until a few years ago when they had all the die offs and tag cuts and its alot harder to draw now. Hopefully it gets better over the next few years. Nevada is pretty expensive since you have to buy a hunting license to get points, same with Utah. Idaho has low drawing odds and you have to but a license to apply there too but with no points system you could draw anytime, you could also never draw. IMO these 3 states are not worth it unless you are applying for other hunts too.

MM has a good point. If it was me, and all I was after was to antelope hunt, I would buy save your money in other states and use that money to buy the "special" license in Wyoming and go hunting every 2 to 4 years.

For the antelope article and charts, you just need to subscribe to Eastmans' Bowhunting Journal. The other half, which had the deer and elk cross-state articles was in the Eastmans' Hunting Journal that just came out. For $15 more than the price of one magazine you can subscribe to both magazines and since each has half of the Members Research Section you should do that. That way you also get a magazine coming every month.

When you subscribe ask them to start EHJ with the issue that has the cross-state deer MRS in it and EHJ with the next issue that has the antelope MRS in it.

You can call them at (800) 842-6887 or email them at http://www.eastmans.com/contact.html

You can get Mike's book, which is outstanding, when you call or go to the online store at http://www.eastmans.com/shop/home.php
