You can get otc reduced price tags in some of Idaho for about $35!

My hunting partner and I plan on getting out on a couple of backpack trips into some the lower elevation drainages for spring bear here in BC. It'll be good to get out and hike the hills, try some new gear, and if a bear happens along without cubs there will be bear hams in the smoker.

When I hunted bear in Idaho a few years back, to the best of my recollection, the Tag price was the same for residents and non-residents, but you had to buy a basic license. Many of the areas in Idaho were two bear areas back then. Might still be. Good luck.

My wife really wants to take a bear. I need to start looking into it for her. But I know nothing about it. I've never even seen one. What state would be the best for a newb bear hunter?
