Hello all!!
It has been a while since I have posted. Long story short... Here in NC right before Elk Season we were hit here with two Hurricanes. We had 18-36 inches of rain from the second storm and quite a bit from the first. Anyway with the damages to my mothers house and damages to our property along with the long power outages there was no way I would leave for my annual trip to Montana. This was the first time in quite a few years that I have missed a Elk season. In December I found out MFWP was thinking about executing a refund to those in the effected areas. I sent my license and application in and sure enough a refund was issued. I want to thank them publicly for what they did concerning those effected. That refund will be heading back to MFWP in the near future for this years season. Many times you don't here about the good things that are done. Thanks again to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

That's great to hear they had compassion and common sense. I hope everything is getting better for you and all those affected.

I bought a Nebraska deer tag in 2009. My dad unexpectedly passed away just days before I was to leave. I couldn't leave my family and NE has a no-refund policy on deer tags so I assumed it was just a loss of about $250. One phone call later, not only did they refund my tag but my habitat stamp too. There are still good people in this world.

most are good , they've just been conditioned by the world to fear, doing good.

only way we can change this ,is to try and stand up and do right at every opportunity .

Great to hear they worked with you, and hope everything is returning to normal around there!
It is back to normal at my place. The contractors just started on my mother's house two weeks ago. All the contractors are so busy it makes it a slow process.
