I was thinking about buying a single pin sight. Anybody have any experience with the Black Gold Ascent single pin?? Seems to be a good sight that won't break the bank.

Very good sight IMO. The only down fall is I have had a few strip out on the slide wheel. However they a very good in their customer service and guarantee all their product so they would take care of it if that where to happen.

Good choice IMO.

I have had mine for over a year now(three pin ascent)and I am pretty rough on sites walking through brush and all. It has held up great, have not had any problems with it at all.

I've used an HHA single pin for six years and wish I would've have switch sooner. A lot of guys at my pro-shop shoot the Ascent single pin and really like it.

The side tape doesnt bother me on the Ascent five pin.

When I use it, I typically have time to dial it in. So there is no need to hurry. Actually it has helped me slow down and take my time on a couple different occasions.

Just my .02 cents

I have used a single pin CBE sight for over 12 years, same one by the way. It also has a side facing sight tape. It has never been an issue for me. I love single pin sights, because in spot and stalk situations I have always had the time to set the pin for the exact distance. No gapping pins or using the wrong pin. Aiming exactly where you want to hit is an amazing confidence booster!
