Their bogo sale was for a .22 can. Once I got it and saw how small it was I looked into what the uses would be for such a small can. It seems to be used for a small pistol. I wanted one for a Rugger 10-22 but I think this is way too small and wouldn’t do much. I guess I’m in the market for a .22 hand gun now. LolWhat second can did you get?
It will probably do better on the 10/22 vs a pistol from my experiences. It seems the shorter cans do better with a longer barrels because the barrel helps hold the gas longer. Definitely give it a try. I’ve heard from a few people about that 22 can not being the best.Their bogo sale was for a .22 can. Here's info on thread sizes/patterns.... https://www.silencercentral.com/blog/silencer-common-barrel-thread-patterns/I have a muzzle brake on .300 Wby (external threads on the muzzle). What are the size & threads used on the silencers? Do you still need a fed permit? Do the silencers effect the accuracy?
Did the same loads work as well as before the add on silencer?Mine threaded right on with Factory threads.
SS walks you through all the steps in purchasing a silencer, it getting easier and faster everyday.
I did need to re sight my rifle in after putting the silencer on but it seems to be as accurate as it was without.
Usually they will be better, but not always. There is no way to know until you shoot.Did the same loads work as well as before the add on silencer?
Depends on the muzzle brake, it’ll have to have threads for the can. If you get a can with HUB threads, there are a lot of brake choices.I have a MB on my Ruger #1 in .300 Wby. Glad to know to leave the MB on and put the can on over it. I figured I had to remove it before adding the silencer. With the MB the noise is really loud, but less recoil makes it worth it.
