Two co-workers and I went out this morning to the Black Hills of South Dakota. We had a good idea where the birds normally go once they get off the roost. We were able to call them in from about 150 yards away using my avian x jake and hen decoys. Three toms came right in to the decoys. When the first one broke away from the others I was able to take him with my blackpowder shotgun at 16 yards. Frank was sitting to my right and took one as he tried to run past us to the right around 25 yards, then Chazz shot the third as it tried to run downhil at around 35 yard. I had a go pro hero 3 on my shotgun but must have been too excited to turn it on right. Was a great morning and the first triple turkey hunt for each of us.
