once we left Pa at 10pm and had steaks in Wyoming and slept at a motel around I25 at 10Pm the next morning got lucky and killed two antelope by 9am and a 3rd by noon. Hunted colorado the next day for the start of 3rd season and killed three bucks and a bull on that trip. Oh, killed 4 deer as we unfortunately hit one with the truck somewhere between craig and meeker

I never have any trouble making the long drive to a hunting trip. It is the drive home after the fun is over that turns me into a bear.
That long drive across Nebraska or South Dakota is a killer when the fun is done.

I've driven across most of the continental US. That frigg'n stretch of I-90 through S.Dakota is the worst I've traveled. I still have nightmares about those signs for "Wall"... :(

I think craigslist or some website like share a ride or something.... has people looking to car pool random places, random times., a good friend of mine once did it.

sometimes guys don't even want money, just a partner to drive...stay away etc...

Nebraska is eight hours. I?ve done it too many times to remember. However I stand by my statement that South Dakota I 90 is the absolute worst-LOL

Everything east of the Missouri is dull. Get west of the river and the scenery and wildlife sightings start to improve.
