What I really like about everyone here is that they are very willing to answer questions and give advice without demeaning anyone else's views. We don't have a lot of "I'm right and your wrong" here. Slugz is right and I too say well done.

Take a look at the Montana Rifle Companies X2 in just about any caliber you want. Very well built here in Montana with an action that is a combination of what they felt were the best qualities of the Mauser 98 and the Winchester Model 70. Excellent rifles and I think one I'm going to get on my next purchase. I'm going to have them chamber it in a 6mm Remington which is a fantastic antelope, deer, Mtn goat, and sheep rifle. I've also taken an elk with it.

Anyway give these a look!

I'm pretty sure I want one in .375 H&H since winchester m70 refuses to build one in synthetic/stainless.

I don't need one right now though, I also think I want a 23" barrel not a 24". I could maybe live with 24 if I had to however.

I just picked up a new Browning X-bolt Hell's Canyon Speed in .26 Nosler. I seriously considered the 7mm Rem Mag initially but then swayed to the .26 Nosler from amazing reviews. I just picked up the rifle 2 days ago and am waiting on my new scope (Vortex Viper PST gen2 5-25x50mm) they are saying it will be at least mid to end of March until they begin shipping them. I am anticipating great results from the .26 nosler but I'll report back with results once it's all ready to go. Good luck and have fun in your search. I know the feeling.
