My dad and I got back two weeks ago now from a DIY private land Mule deer hunt.

That buck you took looks to be really rutted up!

Ya mine was I waited it out for 2 hrs at 180 yards to see if anything bigger came into the small cut and during that time he pushed out 6 diff smaller bucks while hanging with 6 does. It is different buck but liked the height . So on way back to get bag and knife the 5 x 5 that my dad end up shooting walked right by my down deer at 50 yards from me . Dam! go fig . after I got back I got my dad and pointed him in the right direction and the rest is history. Super happy he got it!
