Found my target buck the other day. Curious what everybody thinks on his score. Take in consideration that he is EXTREMELY heavy!!!!

great first post. so hard for me to tell when they are still soft. nice buck, he does look to be real heavy, nice deep forks, backs a touch higher than fronts and nice tick punchers, love me a buck with good guards like that. I'm gonna say 170 -175.

I wouldn't be too worried about the math if I saw that old boy this Sept. It's hard to see the extras, but I would guess that he's coming up on 180", and that's with over 40" of mass added on.

I'm not great at this, but I'd guess 180+ gross. He's got some interesting dark marks on the top of his rump... maybe a rival buck snuck up on him at night and spray-painted "180 B&C" on his back end right before the season opens!

I'd score him after my shot! Then have a photo op with him, then score him with a big :) on my face! Yes I'd hang my tag on him!

all that velvet adds a lot of mass. nothing wrong with a 175 buck. I always estimate a little low. typical score, not adding trash.

Great buck! That mass will add up but to me it just makes up for the lack of deep forks score wise. I too would guess in the 170s typical. I wouldn't pass him up!

I'm thinking he's in the 182" range. If it's me, I'm shooting. His mass is great (even considering the velvet). His beams sweep forward and are pretty good. His G2 is short, his only problem.

I am going to try to find him tomorrow morning again.

I think his fronts are done growing. His backs look like he might put on one more inch but not much more. I thing he is deceiving because of his mass. The buck I shot last year has 40" of mass and I believe this one is heavier which makes his tine length seem shorter.

When I use his ear as a reference 8"-9" I score him out low 190's. main beams are good g-4s are great. g-1 are really good for a mule deer. backs make him a little weak for 200" deer. mass is amazing.
