Sad Duty Today

Getting ready to leave for a funeral this morning. It is for a friend and Masonic Brother who I have hunted with for years. I have to give the eulogy as requested by his wife....something that will be hard to do. Saying good bye is hard enough, hope I can get thru this without any mistakes in our Masonic Funeral Ritual.

That's the biggest problem with getting older, all your friends age likewise.

My condolences to you about your friend, I've had to give a couple of eulogies in the last few years and it is one job that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

yup! wish everyone could be granted the alternative blessing instead. but you play the cards that are dealt.

I find comfort in the realization that life sucks but eventually everyone escapes it.
