Elk, Mule Deer and Pronghorn hunts in CO this year. We've seen illegal OHV use on every single one of them. Hard to call the game warden when you are out of cell range though.

Take a picture. Look at the Colorado OHV sticker number and record it (given that they have one).

When I was elk hunting here, I didn't see any illegal OHV stuff.

CO Cowboy is right, the best thing you can do is take a picture, and if possible get the OHV sticker ID #, along with a location. This is all that you should need to help put an end to this kind of behavior. It gives hunters a bad name and jeopardizes the great public access we currently have.

I hate to sound like a vigilante but I work to hard to pack into an area that I think holds good huntable population of elk, deer, etc., to let someone in the middle of the night use his wirecutters to get thru a fence and retrive game off their 4 wheeler. I have had it happen to me twice, Once I saw the tracks and the second time, I saw them on their way out and couldn't catch up to them. It is probably just as well as I would be spending time behind bars. I have also seen an outfitter push deer, the day before the season, onto his land off the land I could hunt. I talked to the dow and got the general response of " we'll look into that" but nothing ever happened. I think sometimes you just have to take it into your own hands. "if you want the job done right it is better just to do it yourself"
