I've waited a long time to draw early season rifle limited entry elk in an excellent trophy area. I was drawn this year. Now if Mother Nature and a big bull cooperate and I do my part, I'll be happy. Because the unit for which I was drawn is de facto once-in-a-lifetime because of the number of points necessary to draw for it, the doing my part will be most crucial.

keep us posted on the Wasatch hunt. Getting close to drawing it myself. May hold off and go Book Cliffs as i have heard quality is going down on the Wasatch. Hope it is not true. Good luck

That's great man! I'll never have a chance at that tag, I've got 5 deer points due to taking 2/3rds of my life to draw an elk tag!! Posts scouting and hunting pics throughout your endeavor!!!

That's awesome! I have 18 pts after this year. I wish UT would give out more archery and muzzy tags for the Henry Mts so the max point guys could get a tag. If they don't add a tag to these hunts I'm going to jump into applying for the rifle hunt in 5-10 years. By then I'll have almost 30 points!

Our family was 0 for 6 this year in Utah...my wife and I have 13 points for elk so hopefully one of us draws before another 13 years go by!!
