It's been kind of quiet for reports and success thus far. Anymore updates on what the elk are doing? Headed in for the last week of archery in S.W. CO. and just wondering what to expect? Should be wide open about now??

It has been a lot cooler the last 2 days, big rainstorm last night and partly cloudy all day today. It was 49 last night here in Dolores. Forecast is for the same for next week.

@Ivory - I saw that they are getting a lot of the wet white stuff up in MT. Maybe down your way as well? Keep the cool temps coming.

The elk are going crazy right now and are very easy to call. We called in a bull Saturday and he crossed 300yards in an open meadow to come to us and my friend shot him at 20 yards.

All reports I am hearing are the bulls are really in to it. Should be great hunting if the weather cooperates.
