Anybody else here about the Remington recall??? Saw this on FB:

I agree, I like how both my 22-250 and 270wsm are shooting and don't want to mess anything up.....but at the same time I don't want to take the risk of something happening. I figured all they are doing is giving the rifle a thorough cleaning so I might as well. Hope I don't get one of those horror stories you are talking about.

Must be some serious stuff happening that isn't getting out to the media for them to do a full recall on them after the debacle and going for decades with the Walker trigger without doing anything but make excuses before they deep-sixed it for this present one!

It would be older then that but I had a 700 go off on me once when I touched the safety. Kinda burned me on them and is alot of why I shoot a mod 70 Win now.

One of my hunting buddies wife had the gun go off when she took the safety off too, but her rifle isn't up for recall. Same model, caliber has mine but different trigger. He just says she bumped the trigger. I have never had problems with any of my Remingtons and I have been able to get 1/2" or less groups with factory loads.

The one that went off on me happened about 20 years ago and the gun wasnt new then but IDK how old it was then. I know I never touched or bumped the trigger. It wasnt my gun and IDK if it ever did it again. I have a 700 made in the 70's thats been a good gun but I have a hard time trusting it and dont shoot it much anymore.

I own several model 700s that were all purchased in the last 15 years. They all shoot amazing groups for me and I have never had an issue at all with any of them. My 7mm Mag hold my best group ever at 300 yards shooting factory green and yellow- 1.375" at 300 yards. I think they are a great economy rifle...
