Region G Info

Hello guys me and my buddy drew region G going about 4 days early to scout and hike in around Alpine what can i expect in the high country weather wise,hunting pressure wise, never been to wyoming im from northern cali hunted colorado a few times really excited heard it was a mild winter just looking for a nice buck like everyone would love the giant but just hope to see good animals and harvest a nice buck thanks for any info.

leaving here sept 10th staying until kill our bucks we both have 2 weeks off

You will have fun you should be able to find a nice buck with that time frame. Be prepared to see a lot of orange especially around opener. The farther you get get off the beaten path the better. I will be up in that country myself as my dad drew area g as well. Good luck!!!!

Where are you hunting in California? I drew X-12, Struck out on Region G.

I have hunted G before and scouted it early. But that was about 10 years ago. But this year there seems to be lots of guys scouting well before the hunts. Is this common these days? We have seen bucks but nothing very big yet.
