Red Dot sights post EMP attack???

If an EMP is a threat to the U.S. via whoever. Red Dot sights on our AR's or PD shotguns will be fried as well. Probably depending where you are during the actual event. I guess it is safe to say to be practicing and knowing where you are hitting with BUIS or iron sights in general, which is probably what most have been or are doing.

Opinions comments welcomed.

I'm not sure a EMP will penetrate a gun safe if your weapon is in there at the time of the event - I think I have 2 red dots and they'd likely be in there if it is a surprise attack.

You do make a good point either way. Some things are best kept very simple - a heavy reticle scope will work almost as good as a red dot.

I just put a red dot on a gun and haven't sighted it yet. Will shoot the irons first to make sure it is on in the event that the red dot has to come off in a hurry.
