Pronghorn Euro Mount

Just finished a mount of my wife's buck. I have never seen a wall hanging Pronghorn Euro mount that "looked right" to me. There are some desk sitting ones that look good, but because their horns stick almost straight up, the wall ones with the half skull just look odd.

I think this one came out fantastic. Mounted on a second plate at a 45 degree angle. We glued the lower jaw back in and the added depth really made a difference. Only thing I wish I could change is cutting the base down and moving the skull back 3/4 an inch, but I did this all without power tools so that change would have been a pita. Maybe once we move and I get my shop set back up.

Looks good, what is the best method of getting the sheaths off before boiling? I have done one boiling session on my buddy's antelope due to all the other hunting seasons starting. I haven't had the opportunity to get back to it.

Looks good, i have some good goats Euro mounted, but no lower jaw. I'm not sure which I prefer, think I like them both!

I have done taxidermy for years and boil the sheaths in the water. Keep an eye on them and check frequently and they will come right off. Don't boil too long or they will get soft.

Nope, he had ~14 inch horns. Green scored 72 6/8 ... if you trust our noobie scoring skills.
