Hey OP, my daughter was born at 27 weeks and spent 69 days in the NICU. This week she celebrates her first birthday, perfectly healthy and happy. God is good.

Congrats on your grandson. Life is hard sometimes but grit and character and family will get you through.

Congratulations! Brings back a lot of memories, my wife had the same complications and our little girl was born 3 months early and weighed 2lb 1/2oz. It?s scary for sure but those special little ones are in the best hands possible and are surrounded by drs and nurses that might as well be classified as angels.

We spent 90 days in NICU and there?s a lot of emotional swings with those little ones. Keep positive and keep faith! They are truly little fighters.

On a light note be prepared when he gets out because they get spoiled in there and they expect nothing less the rest of their lives lol

Feel free to PM if you have any questions about our experience that may help you get through yours!
Good luck and best wishes!

I have been following this and I have to tell you, I teared up seeing this last post. I'm glad he is doing well. I'm a 2x grandpa and all sorts of things run thru your mind when your kids go through this. Congratulations.

Quick update guys. Everything is going really well. He's up 8oz already to 3.5 pounds. Incubator cover removed as he can maintain his own body heat. Still gonna be there awhile but nothing negative at this time..
God is great.

Praise God for the insurance, and Praise God everyone is healthy. It may seem a little crass but if it were me I would put out a Go Fund me request or Crowd Funding Request. A few pictures and some verifiable evidence of need and people even strangers open their pockets. God Bless ya'll
