Have any of you folks had elk tear up your camera?? I have a couple buddies that are always getting elk, mostly spikes, beating there camera up. One buddy set his brand new camera up, 3 hours later a spike knocked it open and batteries went flying. Same buddy put it at a different location, elk moved it around the tree and then some how got it back in line to where he was original pointing it. My neighbor has had elk up close and personal and knocked it off line before as well.

I put my first camera out a last Friday, if I get anything good I will post it.

I have had cattle really mess with them before but never elk. One of my friends had a bobcat play with his loose strap hanging- I'm guessing it was blowing in the wind and the cat was attracted to the movement. Made for a few neat pictures and many blurry cat fur in your face pictures.

Picked up a couple camera I had set out and got some great photos of everything from elk, deer, bears and even an eagle. Here are some of the pics. tdub24 I have had elk mess with my cameras all of the time. I posted a pick of an elk that was right up on my camera, and he ended up knocking it off of where I had it aligned. I can't wait until Sept. 7th.

Awesome pics jjenness. Do you use a tree stand by that water?
No that spot is 7.2 miles in from the trailhead. I am thinking about having a guy who packs mules in close to there every year take either a small tree stand or light ground blind in for me, as he has offered I just feel bad having him take stuff in when he is going to pack out an elk for me when I shoot one in there. I just found this spot last year so I haven't quite figured out the best way to hunt this spot yet.

if a guy can tell where my location is by a trail cam pic then that means he's not afraid to put feet on the ground and cover some miles and he/she deserves to hunt it:cool:
