My best bucks all come from California. Check out "My Profile" and the album "High Sierra Deer". Best is a 178 non typical which I shot in 1963 and is not with the others. I'll have to dig into my old pictures for it.

This is a 5x5 buck (probably in the high 160's, never measured it) taken in the Malibu Mts in 1959 when you could still rifle hunt there. Best buck ever from southern California coastal mountains.

Here is my entry. I shot him back before I knew what a camera was used for. I took a day off of classes in College back in 1972 stuffed a couple of sandwiches into my shit along with a couple of apples and a canteen of water and headed out. Ended up in a driving rain storm so I hunkered down under a pinion pine tree and lit a fire to try and stay warm. He cam sneaking over the far ridge. I managed to drop him as he walked into one of the few openings in the oak brush.

I never have put a tape to him other than to see that he is 26" wide at the widest. But he is nice and heavy, one of these days I have to actually measure him out.

Mid 180’s. Narrow 23” ish mainframe, 25” with the extra on his RT side. Did not appear to be as big as he is. Almost did not shoot...

Some awesome bucks on here, thanks everyone for sharing. I love seeing big muleys, no other big game animal intrigues me quite as much as a big muley.

My best is a WY muley that goes a hair over 200". It wasn't a place or a hunt that should have produced one like that, I just got lucky getting an opportunity and made it count when I did. I hope to kill one like it on purpose someday and not just by luck!

Here is my line up all Colorado public land. For perspective from left to right first is a 215" + NT 9x11 he is 32 1/4" kicker to kicker, next buck is my widest to date and is almost 34" wide a big 3 point, next buck archery 185 gross NT just over 29" wide, after tht is my favorite as he is the only decient buck I got with long bow and a bit over 175" by far the most challenging of the bunch.

My latest over the golden mark was in 2016 archery and he is below. 29.5" wide kicker to kicker.

Congrats to all sure is fun looking at all these bucks. I am still looking for a net 200" typical with a bow and a buck with a 30" inside spread... Who knows maybe one of these years.
